Philadelphia Eagles 2006 NFL Predictions
|
Week 1 |
Sep 10 |
@Houston |
Win Projected – Nothing like starting
the season with a road win, and odds favor the Eagles to do
so in a trip to Reliant Stadium to play the Texans. |
Week 2 |
Sep 17 |
N.Y. Giants |
Win Projected – Could be building some
early season momentum in what could be the toughest division
in football. Need to at least split with a division foe or two. |
Week 3 |
Sep 24 |
@San Francisco |
Win Projected – A 3-0 start could be possible. |
Week 4 |
Oct 2 |
Green Bay |
Win Projected – Two future hall of fame quarterbacks
square off on Monday night football. Early season favorable
scheduling and the record could soar to 4-0 with a win over
the Packers. |
Week 5 |
Oct 8 |
Dallas |
Win Projected – With the entire city seeking
revenge against T.O, a solid contender strolls into town for
a duel at Lincoln Financial Field. The Eagles will be playing
on a short week, but could want this game like no other. |
Week 6 |
Oct 15 |
@New Orleans |
Loss Projected – Possible let down from the
previous week could ensue just as the Saints new offense could
be jelling under Brees as the Saints are likely to put forth a
maximum effort, laying it all out on the line heading into their
bye week. |
Week 7 |
Oct 22 |
@Tampa Bay |
Loss Projected – Schedule gets tough the rest
of the way. A road win is needed here, and it may not be out
of the question with the Florida heat dissipating. Although,
it’s a lean to the home team. |
Week 8 |
Oct 29 |
Jacksonville |
Loss Projected – Will want to put forth a
maximum effort headed into the bye week. But will there be enough
gas in the tank to beat a tough Jaguars team after playing in Tampa? |
Week 9 |
Nov 5 |
BYE |
5-3 at the bye if these preseason predictions
for the 2006 Philadelphia Eagles prove accurate. |
Week 10 |
Nov 12 |
Washington |
Loss Projected – It might be hard to get the
juices flowing after the bye in time to win this key home game
versus one of 2005’s top road teams. |
Week 11 |
Nov 19 |
Tennessee |
Win Projected – Likely to be getting
back on track versus a Titans team that surrendered 421 points
in 2005. |
Week 12 |
Nov 26 |
@Indianapolis |
Loss Projected – A very tough place to win
and they’ll be out of their element in the RCA Dome. |
Week 13 |
Dec 4 |
Carolina |
Loss Projected – The difficulty level of this
season’s schedule could start to take its toll in the
second game of what could be the most brutal six game stretch any
team in the league faces this season. Unfortunately for the
Eagles, Carolina proved they could win on the road in cold weather
in last season’s playoffs. |
Week 14 |
Dec 10 |
@Washington |
Loss Projected – Perhaps the hardest three
straight road games any team in the league will face this season
begins with this contest. |
Week 15 |
Dec 17 |
@N.Y. Giants |
Loss Projected – No let up in the toughness
of this schedule. |
Week 16 |
Dec 25 |
@Dallas |
Loss Projected – The brutal schedule continues
with this Monday afternoon Christmas day game in Dallas. |
Week 17 |
Dec 31 |
Atlanta |
Win Projected – The city of brotherly love
may be too cold for the visiting Falcons to handle which could
help offset the Eagles playing on a short week. Even if there’s
no playoff trip for the Eagles this season, they’ll still
want to get this win for the faithful. All in all, a tale of
a brutal second half schedule is predicted. If the Eagles overcome
this schedule, give them extra props. |
