2006 NFL Projection:
The Giants are coming off a playoff season, but find eleven games on the schedule versus teams that finished at .500 or better in 2006, qualifying this as one of toughest schedules in the NFC. However, the Giants return a tremendous offense, a solid defense, and a tough coach. A trip to the playoffs in 2006 should be within reach despite the tough schedule.

New York Giants 2006 NFL Predictions

Week 1
Sep 10
Indianapolis Win Projected – With the Giants having an even tougher schedule than the Colts in 2006, this Sunday night football game at Giants Stadium could mean more to Eli than to Peyton.
Week 2
Sep 17
@Philadelphia Loss Projected – Not as easy as it looks. A possible let down situation, especially if they beat the Colts in week 1. The Eagles have a great coach and a future hall of fame quarterback. With a good chance to start 1-0 the Eagle faithful will be fired up. Would have been better for the Giants to travel to the city of brotherly love later in the season when the reality of missing Owens combined with the fact that there might be three better teams in the division possibly starts to set in on the Eagles again.
Week 3
Sep 24
@Seattle Loss Projected – Heart breaking loss in Seattle last season as the Giants were in position to win several times, but Feeley couldn’t make the kicks. Will have to lay it all out on the line before the bye to get the win here. The first of five games in a row versus teams finishing 2005 at .500 or better.
Week 4
Oct 1
BYE 1-2 at the bye if these preseason predictions for the 2006 New York Giants prove accurate.
Week 5
Oct 8
Washington Win Projected – Can’t afford a home loss to Washington. In light of last season’s 36-0 thumping, the Redskins were still one of the NFL’s top road teams.
Week 6
Oct 15
@Atlanta Win Projected – Out of their element in the Georgia dome, but catching the Falcons off their bye week and perhaps looking ahead to the champs is a plus.
Week 7
Oct 23
@Dallas Loss Projected – Would be great to get a Monday night football road victory at Texas Stadium.
Week 8
Oct 29
Tampa Bay Win Projected – Beating the Buccaneers could be difficult playing on a short week.
Week 9
Nov 5
Houston Win Projected – Brutal schedule eases up… But only for one week.
Week 10
Nov 12
Chicago Win Projected – Could be a defensive struggle that swings to the home team.
Week 11
Nov 20
@Jacksonville Loss Projected – Coach Coughlin returns to Jacksonville in a Monday night affair, but finds an equally good coach with an equally good team.
Week 12
Nov 26
@Tennessee Win Projected – A winnable road game, but playing on a shortened week could make it a little tougher.
Week 13
Dec 3
Dallas Win Projected – Handled the Cowboys at home last season in a defensive struggle and could need this game to get a split.
Week 14
Dec 10
@Carolina Loss Projected – Schedule loaded with tough contests like this trip to Bank of America Stadium to play the Panthers.
Week 15
Dec 17
Philadelphia Win Projected – A must win home game. And possible revenge for an early season loss.
Week 16
Dec 24
New Orleans Win Projected – Could be gearing up for the playoffs.
Week 17
Dec 30
@Washington Win Projected – Could be win and in, or playing for home field or other playoff positioning. Possible tie breaker scenarios with the Redskins could be at stake.
