Minnesota Vikings 2007 NFL Projection:
In 2007 the Vikings don’t find an easy start to the season as five or their first eight
games are versus teams that made the playoffs in 2006, including 4 in a row from week 6 through week 9 (see below);
dubious odds for most any team to overcome.
This is very similar to last season
when five of the Minnesota’s first seven games were against
teams that made the playoffs the previous year.
The strength of the Vikings is clearly on the defensive side of the ball. The unit surrendered
just 327 points in 2006. Unfortunately, the offense only scored 282 points in 2006.
With questions at quarterback (Jackson & Bollinger)
and receiver depth issues, the Vikings’ will try to run, run, run on offense
in an effort to slug out low scoring affairs- turning to the very talented
Chester Taylor and first round draft pick Adrian Peterson.
Overall we’re predicting a (3-13) campaign. There could be a little upside depending on how the Vikings fair
against potentially defensively vulnerable division rivals Detroit and Green Bay.
