2006 NFL Projection:
One of the tougher schedules the Colts have faced in recent
campaigns since having the good fortune of leaving the AFC East
in the league realignment. The 2006 schedule sports nine games versus
teams that finished at .500 or better in 2005 including;
While the Colts aren’t
likely to be playing for an undefeated season in 2006 with this season’s
tough schedule, they
should still be able to attain at least a Wild Card berth as they duel
with Jacksonville for first place in the AFC South, while of course holding
greater visions of the Super Bowl in mind. However, the schedule is tough enough
where the Colts could find their window of opportunity closing up with perhaps
no trip to the playoffs at all.
The addition of Adam
Vinatieri is likely to improve clutch kicking. But oddly enough,
Vinatieri hasn’t had the best success kicking indoors throughout
his career.
