2006 NFL Projection:
The Denver Broncos enter 2006 off a trip to the AFC championship game. While the schedule includes several tough opponents including New England, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Seattle and of course two games versus the Chiefs; the schedule also contains several favorable matchups as a result of drawing the AFC North & NFC West.

With a defense that only surrendered 258 points in 2005, and a top notch offense that has added Javon Walker, expect the 2006 Broncos to remain on track for more success, with a good chance to make a run at representing the AFC in this season’s Super Bowl.

Denver Broncos 2006 NFL Predictions

Week 1
Sep 10
@St. Louis Win Projected – Not many teams win on the road versus the Rams. But the Broncos aren’t just any team.
Week 2
Sep 17
Kansas City Win Projected – The Broncos need to at least split with the Chiefs. Taking the home game is a must.
Week 3
Sep 24
@New England Loss Projected – The Patriots will be seeking revenge in this Sunday night football game for last season’s playoff loss, where they marched up and down the field seemingly at will, but turned the ball over on nearly every long drive.
Week 4
Oct 1
BYE 2-1 at the bye if these preseason predictions for the 2006 Denver Broncos prove accurate. That should be acceptable considering the difficulty level of the first three games. 3-0 would be terrific. 1-2 or less could be cause for alarm.
Week 5
Oct 9
Baltimore Win Projected – A good chance to roll off three in a row beginning on a Monday night after the bye.
Week 6
Oct 15
Oakland Win Projected – Likely to be firing on all cylinders in a Sunday night football contest, even after the short week.
Week 7
Oct 22
@Cleveland Win Projected – The Broncos can’t afford to get caught looking ahead to next week or the week after that.
Week 8
Oct 29
Indianapolis Loss Projected – Which will be a bigger game, this week’s game or next week’s game? Answer: Go at least 1-1 and everything should be fine.
Week 9
Nov 5
@Pittsburgh Win Projected – They have this one marked on the calendar seeking revenge for the 2005 AFC championship game defeat.
Week 10
Nov 12
@Oakland Win Projected – Catching the Raiders in the third game of a brutal four game stretch that also includes games versus Pittsburgh, Seattle, and Kansas City.
Week 11
Nov 19
San Diego Win Projected – Building some momentum.
Week 12
Nov 23
@Kansas City Loss Projected – Thursday night Thanksgiving football game at Arrowhead Stadium. The Broncos probably would be happy to split with the Chiefs. Denver won a thriller in overtime at Dallas last Thanksgiving.
Week 13
Dec 3
Seattle Win Projected – Beating last season’s Super Bowl runner up could be a sign of good things to come.
Week 14
Dec 10
@San Diego Loss Projected – The Chargers could be jelling with Rivers at this point in the season potentially making this a tougher game than if it had been scheduled earlier in the season.
Week 15
Dec 17
@Arizona Win Projected – Could be time to start thinking about playoff positioning.
Week 16
Dec 24
Cincinnati Win Projected – May be time to lay it all out on the line to make a run for a first round playoff bye.
Week 17
Dec 31
San Francisco Win Projected – Playoff positioning likely to be at stake. Possible home field implications or a bye.
