2006 NFL Projection:
The Browns play six difficult in division games thanks to the powerhouse Steelers, the rise of the Bengals, and signs that Baltimore looks competitive again. Furthermore, the Browns play six additional top teams out of the division as follows…

On paper that adds up to twelve possible losses before looking at the other games on the schedule in spite of any off season team wide improvements.

Cleveland Browns 2006 NFL Predictions

Week 1
Sep 10
New Orleans Win Projected – Catching the Saints before they may have had time to jell under Brees is a plus.
Week 2
Sep 17
@Cincinnati Loss Projected – The Bengals difficult schedule means they’ll be giving it their all to win this important matchup at Paul Brown.
Week 3
Sep 24
Baltimore Loss Projected – A repeat of last season’s home victory probably won’t be as easy with Steve McNair joining the Ravens on offense.
Week 4
Oct 1
@Oakland Loss Projected – Six regular season games ago they won at the Coliseum. They’ll be taken more seriously by the Raiders this time. Although another road victory would not be out of the question.
Week 5
Oct 8
@Carolina Loss Projected – Likely to be overmatched and any hot weather won’t help the cause.
Week 6
Oct 15
BYE 1-4 at the bye if these preseason predictions for the 2006 Cleveland Browns hold true.
Week 7
Oct 22
Denver Loss Projected – Shaking off any cobwebs after the bye won’t be easy against the Broncos. However, if Denver gets caught looking ahead to the Colts & Steelers in their next two games, then a tight contest could result.
Week 8
Oct 29
N.Y. Jets Win Projected – On paper, a winnable home game.
Week 9
Nov 5
@San Diego Loss Projected – How will the Chargers fair with their new starting quarterback? Probably well enough to get the win at home.
Week 10
Nov 12
@Atlanta Loss Projected – Dome play puts this game out of the team’s element. And it’s a lot of travel since last week to boot. One in a series of difficult opponents that could begin to offset any early season success.
Week 11
Nov 19
Pittsburgh Loss Projected – Splitting with the champs would be terrific. But are they ready?
Week 12
Nov 26
Cincinnati Loss Projected – In the middle of a tough run, schedule difficulty is a reality.
Week 13
Dec 3
Kansas City Loss Projected – Third difficult home game in a row, and the Browns could be ready to give Kansas City a tough game. But the 2006 Chiefs may be too much to handle.
Week 14
Dec 7
@Pittsburgh Loss Projected – Beating the champs at Heinz Field in a Thursday night football game would be a tall order.
Week 15
Dec 17
@Baltimore Loss Projected – Most likely a home and home split. This one could go to the Ravens.
Week 16
Dec 24
Tampa Bay Loss Projected – While the Buccaneers usually don’t win many in the cold, unfortunately for the Browns, this will be Tampa’s third cold weather game in four weeks. So the Bucs may finally be acclimated to the cold weather in time to get a win at Cleveland Stadium.
Week 17
Dec 31
@Houston Win Projected – A winnable road game versus a team that may have just given it their all the week before versus division rival Indianapolis.
