Chicago Bears 2011 Season Win Total Outlook & Projection:
2011 Chicago Bears Las Vegas Season Win Total Line;
Oddsmakers currently have the regular season
win total betting line for the Chicago Bears set at 8.5 wins…
This represents a decrease of 2.5 wins from the Bears’
prior year regular season mark of (11-5).
Part of this line has to do with the fact the Bears
have quarterback protection questions.
Further hampering the line is expected improvement
from division rival Detroit, plus Minnesota’s signing
of QB McNabb… Consider the Bears went (5-1)
in the NFC North last season– a feat which
seems unlikely to be repeated in ’11.
Schedule Analysis:
Da Bears will suit up on 7 occasions versus teams that made the postseason last year.
This is a reduction of 1 such contest compared to the prior season, but still
represents a high number.
Of course the Seahawks in their current state of affairs can essentially be removed from the above list.
But playoff bubble squad, ten game winner Tampa Bay can essentially be added (in week 7).
Other potentially competitive games include;
@Detroit in week 5, Minnesota in week 6, @Tampa Bay (in London) in week 7 (aforementioned),
Detroit in week 10,
San Diego in week 11, @Oakland in week 12, @Minnesota in week 17.
Lighter competition comes in the form of;
Carolina in week 4, @Denver in week 14, and Seattle in week 15.
Record Projection:
In 2011 we project the Bears to go (9-7), topping the
Vegas season win total of 8.5 games. With a defense as solid
as Chicago’s, there is certainly the chance for an upside surprise to this prediction.
Of course injuries could wreak havoc in the other direction.
