2006 NFL Projection:
Including the regular season and playoffs last season,
the Panthers won tough road games at Tampa Bay, at Atlanta, at Chicago,
and at the New York Giants before falling at Seattle in the NFC
Championship game. It was the Panthers second trip to the NFC
championship game in three years.
Other notables, the Panthers
knocked off the defending champion New England Patriots at home
during week 2.
In 2006 the Panthers add experience and depth to the wide
receiver position with the addition of Keyshawn Johnson. However,
the 2006 schedule is no cake walk thanks to a very competitive NFC
South, and thanks to drawing the NFC East. But barring significant injuries,
a trip to the postseason
should be no problem for the 2006 Panthers, a team that is certainly
one of the favorites to make this season’s Super Bowl.
