Buffalo Bills 2013 Season Win Total Outlook & Projection:
2013 Buffalo Bills Las Vegas Season Win Total Line;
As of this writing, oddsmakers have the 2013 NFL regular season
win total betting line
for the Buffalo Bills set at 6 wins.
This represents a decrease of 2 wins from last year’s
win total line of 8 which Buffalo went under, finishing
(6-10).
Coming into last season the Bills had the 3rd easiest schedule on paper,
yet managed to finish net negative 91 points on the season.
The Bills are in a rebuilding mode with a new coaching staff,
and will suit up rookie QB
EJ Manuel.
Rookie receivers Robert Woods and Marquise Goodwin
will be in the mix. However, receiver is typically a tough position for rookies
to make an immediate impact.
Meanwhile, the Bills let LG Andy Levitre,
their top offensive lineman get away. Considering their strength at RB
with C.J. Spiller, this was a questionable move for a rebuilding team
as so much comes down to the trenches.
The Bills are also weak at linebacker. And their secondary
has taken a huge hit with
CB Stephon Gilmore out with a broken wrist, and
S Jairus Byrd suffering from plantar fasciitis.
Schedule Analysis:
In 2013 the Bills will play just 5 games versus playoff teams from a season ago.
This is an increase of one such game compared to last season;
4 of these matchups are at home. As far as winning goes when in a rebuilding mode, it would be preferable to play lower ranked
teams at home, and face stiffer tests on the road as defeating the above opponents is rather unlikely home or away.
Schedule Nugget:
With the exception of @Pittsburgh in week 10,
all 10 remaining games on the Bills’ schedule are versus teams which finished below .500 last season;
- Carolina (7-9) in week 2
- @NY Jets (6-10) in week 3
- @Cleveland (5-11) in week 5
- @Miami (7-9) in week 7
- @New Orleans (7-9) in week 8
- Kansas City (2-14) in week 9
- NY Jets (6-10) in week 11
- @Tampa Bay (7-9) in week 14
- @Jacksonville (2-14) in week 15
- Miami (7-9) in week 16
Unfortunately, several of these squads currently rank ahead of the Bills including;
Carolina, Miami, New Orleans, Kansas City, and Tampa Bay.
The Jets and Jaguars are more on the Bills level.
Record Projection:
In 2013 we project the Bills to implode, going (1-15), falling under the Las
Vegas season win total line of 6 wins.
If EJ Manuel’s learning curve is quick, there could definitely be upside to this dire projection.
