2006 NFL Projection:
Nine difficult games for a team that finished 6-10 last season isn’t exactly a break in the schedule. The addition of Steve McNair could result in an improved record year over year if he remains healthy. If the defense surrenders even fewer points than last season, there is potential for upside.

Baltimore Ravens 2006 NFL Predictions

Week 1
Sep 10
@Tampa Bay Loss Projected – Not an easy way to start the season.
Week 2
Sep 17
Oakland Win Projected – A winnable home game versus a Raiders team that surrendered the third most points in the AFC last season.
Week 3
Sep 24
@Cleveland Win Projected – Lost at Cleveland last season as part of an 0-8 road campaign. The addition of McNair should help to improve the Ravens chances for road wins.
Week 4
Oct 1
San Diego Win Projected – A battle of teams with new starting quarterbacks. But one arm has a lot more experience than the other.
Week 5
Oct 9
@Denver Loss Projected – Likely overmatched in a Monday night football meeting on the road.
Week 6
Oct 15
Carolina Loss Projected – Coming off a short week and perhaps overmatched at home.
Week 7
Oct 22
BYE 2-4 at the bye if these preseason predictions for the 2006 Baltimore Ravens hold up.
Week 8
Oct 29
@New Orleans Loss Projected – Could be rusty traveling straight out of the bye week.
Week 9
Nov 5
Cincinnati Win Projected – A maximum effort could get the win against a tough division rival. But the Bengals swept last season and are aware they may need to do it again to make the playoffs in 2006 given their difficult schedule.
Week 10
Nov 12
@Tennessee Win Projected – McNair returns to Tennessee, and might even receive a few cheers during the game if the Titans defense stumbles.
Week 11
Nov 19
Atlanta Win Projected – Can’t afford to get caught looking ahead to the champs.
Week 12
Nov 26
Pittsburgh Win Projected – Potential “throw the records out the window” game as the Ravens bring their best effort versus the champs. Last season’s home victory over Pittsburgh was with Maddux at the helm for the Steelers. But the Ravens will be sporting an upgrade at the QB position for this game as well.
Week 13
Nov 30
@Cincinnati Loss Projected – Third tough game in a row in this Thursday night football clash. And the first of three difficult road games over the next four weeks.
Week 14
Dec 10
@Kansas City Loss Projected – Fourth tough game in a row.
Week 15
Dec 17
Cleveland Win Projected – Must win at home versus the Browns to have a chance to finish over .500.
Week 16
Dec 24
@Pittsburgh Loss Projected – The Steelers are likely to need this game for playoff positioning.
Week 17
Dec 31
Buffalo Win Projected – Win it for the home town faithful even if no playoff trip is ahead.
