1/4
Titans
5-0
With the Giants, Redskins, and Cowboys all getting
upset in the same week,
the Titans are the last team standing at the top of
the rankings.
2/1
Giants
4-1
The Giants’ road winning streak came to an end Monday night in Cleveland.
Fortunately for the G-men, both Washington and Dallas were also
upset in week 6.
3/2
Redskins
4-2
Washington held St. Louis to just 200
yards of offense while their own offense tallied nearly
double (368 yards)… Yet somehow the Redskins let this game get away.
4/10
Buccaneers
4-2
Tampa Bay moved into a tie for 1st
with Carolina and Atlanta– thanks to their week
6 crushing of the Panthers.
The Bucs have a game in hand
against both teams.
5/18
Cardinals
4-2
Warner and crew headed into their bye week in style with
a dramatic overtime victory over the Cowboys on a blocked
punt that went for a touchdown.
6/3
Cowboys
4-2
Dallas suffered their second loss of the season, falling at
Arizona in overtime. Romo suffered a broken pinky on
his right hand and will miss several games.
7/5
Panthers
4-2
The Panthers had an opportunity to separate
themselves from the Buccaneers in the chase for
the AFC South
but were decimated in Tampa by a score of 27-3
as Delhomme was picked off 3 times by the Bucs.
8/6

Bears
3-3
Let me tell you a little story about a team
that should be (6-0), but instead
suffered its third blown lead loss of the season…
Chicago’s defense
was unable to hold off the Falcons
in the closing moments;
an all too familiar story for the Bears this year.
9/7
Eagles
3-3
The Eagles used 23 fourth quarter points to top the Niners
in San Francisco and get back to the .500 mark, while also
gaining a game on the Giants, Redskins, and Cowboys.
10/8
Steelers
4-1
The Steelers had a bye in week 6 and will get back to action
in week 7 at Cincinnati.
11/9
Colts
3-2
The Colts got back above the .500 mark
with a home smashing of the Ravens.
Considering Indianapolis’ injury ridden slow start to the 2008
season, a record of (3-2) must be looking mighty fine to
Manning and crew.
12/12
Chargers
3-3
Rivers and Jackson torched the Patriots in a 20 point romp
Sunday night. The win got San Diego back to .500.
13/22
Falcons
4-2
Looks like Matt Ryan is already the real deal.
He has the Falcons in a three way tie for first
place in the NFC South thanks to a drive in the closing
moments to set up a game winning field goal against
the Bears.
14/13
Packers
3-3
The Packers ended their losing streak, got back to .500 and moved into a
first place tie with Chicago and Minnesota
thanks to a road win
over a Seattle team playing without Hasselbeck.
15/14
Vikings
3-3
The Vikings already fumbled away one game this season
(@Tennessee) and nearly did it again this week at home
against the Lions in a game in which they
out-yarded Detroit nearly two to one (392 to 212).
With the win the Vikings moved into a 3-way tie with
Chicago and Green Bay in the NFC North, although
the Packers currently have a game in hand over the Vikes.
16/15
Saints
3-3
The Saints bounced back from their Monday night loss to
the Vikings with a blowout of the Raiders in New Orleans.
Unfortunately for the Saints, Tampa Bay, Carolina, and Atlanta
are all tied for first at (4-2).
17/19

Bills
4-1
The Bills had a bye in week 6 and will
get back to action in week 7 at home against
the Chargers in a game that could have
wild card implications.
18/23
Jaguars
3-3
The Jaguars got back to .500 with a win at Denver.
Overall this season Jacksonville doesn’t look as strong as in
previous years.
19/11
Broncos
4-2
The Broncos were handled at home by the Jaguars.
Perhaps they were looking ahead to the Patriots…
But I don’t know why… Bottom line, the Broncos
are fortunate not to be (2-4) right now.
20/20
Dolphins
2-3
Miami followed up their back to back upsets of the Patriots
and Chargers by losing in the closing moments at previously
winless Houston.
21/16
Patriots
3-2
The Patriots were hammered in San Diego on Sunday night.
But with their easy schedule, taking the AFC East
is still a possibility.
22/17
Jets
3-2
The Jets got back above .500 with a win over the
Palmerless Bengals. With contests coming up
against the Raiders and Chiefs
the Jets have a solid chance to be (5-3)
heading into their week 9 duel at Buffalo.
As far as power rankings, while the Jets did
beat Miami in week 1, they also lost to
New England and San Diego. Meanwhile the Dolphins
beat both the Chargers and Patriots.
Of course the Jets’ win over Arizona is
looking better and better.
Bottom line, there is not a lot
of space between these teams
right now.
23/21
Ravens
2-3
After letting back to back games slip away against two
top 10 teams (Pittsburgh and Tennessee)
the Ravens collapsed at Indianapolis, suffering their
3rd straight defeat.
24/30
Browns
2-3
Anderson and crew pulled a stunning upset of the Giants
on Monday night. But will it be enough to save their season?
25/27
Texans
1-4
After giving away more than their fair share of games in the closing
moments this season, the Texans finally turned the tide
and scored a victory in the closing moments at home against
the hot Dolphins. Unfortunately at (1-4) it’s probably too little too late.
26/24
49ers
2-3
The 49ers couldn’t hold a lead against the Eagles at home as they
allowed 23 fourth quarter points. The loss dropped the Niners below
the .500 mark.
27/26
Bengals
0-6
Without Carlson Palmer the Bengals couldn’t muster
enough offense to hang on the road against the Jets.
While the Bengals’ defense has been much better this season,
it hasn’t resulted in any wins; thanks in part
to a tough schedule and Palmer’s injury woes.
28/25
Raiders
1-4
The Raiders dropped to three games below .500 after getting blown out
at New Orleans.
29/32
Rams
1-4
Outgained nearly 2:1, St. Louis managed to upset Washington
as Haslett’s Rams moved to (1-0).
30/29
Seahawks
1-4
Without Hasselbeck the Seahawks couldn’t get anything going
on offense against Green Bay, and fell to three games
below .500.
31/28
Chiefs
1-4
The Chiefs had a bye in week 6 and will get back to action
at home in week
7 against the undefeated Titans.
32/31
Lions
0-5
Playing without Kitna, Detroit won the turnover battle in Minnesota
but couldn’t hang on for the victory.
