1/1
Giants
11-2
The Giants were thoroughly dominated at home by the Eagles.
They are still the champs with plenty of quality wins and an
(11-2) record, so hang onto the top spot in the rankings.
The Giants could potentially lose the number one seed
to Carolina. The teams will meet in week 16.
2/2
Titans
12-1
Johnson and White ran over the Browns for a total of 235 yards
as Tennessee grabbed win number twelve and clinched the AFC South.
3/3
Colts
9-4
The Colts improved to five games above .500 and kept on pace
to earn the top wild card spot in the AFC thanks to crushing
the Bengals at home.
4/4
Steelers
10-3
Deshea Townsend picked off Romo
and returned it for the game winning touchdown as the Steelers grabbed win number ten.
The Steelers’ only losses this season have been at Philadelphia,
home to the Giants in a game they could just as easily have won,
and home to Indianapolis in another game they arguably should have
won. The Steelers could easily be a (12-1) team today.
5/5
Cowboys
8-5
The Cowboys let one get away in Pittsburgh
as Romo and Witten weren’t on the same page
resulting in a game costing interception returned for a touchdown by
Deshea Townsend. This loss could potentially keep Dallas out of the postseason.
6/7
Panthers
10-3
Williams and Stewart ran all over the Buccaneers on Monday night
to the tune of 301 yards. The Panthers took sole possession of first place in the
NFC South. But oddly enough we still project Tampa Bay to win the division
as Carolina has to play a road games against the Giants and the Saints in the final two weeks.
7/9
Ravens
9-4
The Ravens continue to soar as they earned win number nine
by crushing the Redskins on Sunday night.
Their most important game of the season is on deck in week 15
when they host the Steelers.
8/13
Eagles
7-5-1
Time to stop booing McNabb and crew. This is a team that has beaten the Giants on the road,
the Steelers at home, lost to the Giants in the first meeting by five,
and lost at Dallas by four.
Clearly the Eagles are good enough to beat any team on any given day.
If they run the table, they’ll be the story of the second half of the season.
9/6
Buccaneers
9-4
Tampa Bay’s run defense was embarrassed on Monday night
as they allowed Carolina’s duo of Williams and Stewart
to rush for 301 yards combined. The loss knocked Tampa Bay into second place.
But they can still take the NFC South thanks to an easy remaining schedule
and thanks to Carolina’s difficult remaining schedule.
10/8
Jets
8-5
The Jets were on top of the world two weeks ago after beating Tennessee.
But since then they lost at home to Denver, and now on the road at San Francisco.
They haven’t blown the AFC East yet, but they are sure giving it their best shot.
11/11
Falcons
8-5
Atlanta’s playoff hopes took a hit when they suffered a key loss in the closing moments at New Orleans.
12/10
Redskins
7-6
The Redskin’s tailspin continued as they were thumped in Baltimore.
13/14
Cardinals
8-5
The Cardinals clinched the NFC West as they got back on the winning track
as most any team would be able to do when facing the Rams after a couple of losses.
14/12
Patriots
8-5
New England kept their playoff hopes alive with a win at Seattle.
They may need the Dolphins to win on the road against the Jets in week 17
to get into the postseason.
15/15
Vikings
8-5
Minnesota grabbed win number eight, barely surviving the Lions
as Jackson relieved the injured Frerotte.
Whether or not the Vikings make the playoffs may hinge
on the Giants plans for week 17.
16/16
Dolphins
8-5
Miami stayed in the hunt for the AFC East thanks to beating the Bills for the second time this season,
this time in Toronto.
17/18

Bears
7-6
The Bears got back above .500 with a blowout of the Jaguars
to stay in the hunt for the NFC North.
18/19
Saints
7-6
New Orleans dealt Atlanta a crushing blow as far as their playoff hopes are concerned…
Who Dat Nation has to be thinking back to Gramatica’s missed kick in Denver,
and close losses to the Vikings and Redskins. The Saints could just as easily be
(9-4) or better right now.
19/17
Broncos
8-5
The Broncos inched closer to winning the AFC West with a home victory over the Chiefs,
but late-season rushing dynamo Hillis was lost for the season.
20/21
Texans
6-7
With Shaub back, the Texans won at Green Bay to inch closer to .500. If Houston didn’t have an
earlier season 4th quarter meltdown against Indianapolis, and if they didn’t
allow Garrard to convert a 4th down and scramble in for a last second
touchdown at Jacksonville, the Texans would be (8-5)
right now as would the Colts.
21/20
Packers
5-8
Green Bay dropped to three games below .500 thanks to
getting upset at home by the Texans
conjuring up thoughts of Favre and home games in December.
22/23
49ers
5-8
The 49ers continued their rise from the ashes under Mike Singletary
with an upset of the Jets. You can’t help but be impressed
with the play of Hill. And the Niner’s defense held the Jets to just
182 yards of offense.
23/22
Browns
4-9
With Dorsey at the helm Cleveland managed just 178 yards of offense
at Tennessee which was no surprise… The surprise was that
Cleveland led 6-0 at the end of the first quarter.
24/24

Bills
6-7
The Bills continued their nose dive as they lost their second game of the season to the Dolphins–
a game the NFL surely would have liked to have seen Buffalo win playing in Toronto.
25/25
Chargers
5-8
The Chargers kept their slim playoff hopes alive with a thumping of the Raiders on Thursday night.
26/26
Jaguars
4-9
It’s hard to imagine the Jaguars picking up their ninth loss
in week 14, but that’s exactly what happened when they visited Chicago.
27/28
Chiefs
2-11
Kansas City hung in the game at Denver, but in the end did what they needed to do
to ensure draft position. Meanwhile, Thigpen continues to impress.
28/29
Seahawks
2-11
Playing without Hasselbeck the Seahawks nearly ended New England’s playoff hopes
as Deion Branch resembled the star he was earlier in his career for the Patriots.
29/27
Raiders
3-10
After nearly beating the Chargers earlier this season, the Raiders
were no match for their division rival with a similar record
on the road in week 14.
30/30
Bengals
1-11-1
The ones have it as Cincinnati dropped to (1-11-1) thanks to get clobbered by the Colts
in Indianapolis.
31/31
Rams
2-11
The Rams were no match for the Cardinals in Arizona,
and picked up the loss number eleven.
32/32
Lions
0-13
The Lions gave the Vikings a run for their money, but picked up
lost number thirteen. All that stands between Detroit
and an (0-16) season are the Colts, Saints, and Packers.
