Eagles
|
11-6-1†
|
The Eagles continued their incredible run by winning their 2nd game at Giants stadium
this season.
If that doesn’t make Philly #1, consider they also dominated the Steelers this season. And they
crushed the Cardinals on Thanksgiving night– who they’ll now face in Arizona in the NFC Championship game.
Whether or not the Eagles make the Super Bowl remains
to be seen. But Philadelphia vaults into the top spot this week.

Titans

13-4†

Tennessee coulda, shoulda beat the Ravens in their home divisional playoff game
by 3 scores. The Titans dominated in yards and almost turned up a few defensive scores.
But somehow things just went wrong for the Titans on several occasions at
the worst possible moment, including a no call of what should have been a delay of game
penalty on Baltimore’s winning drive, and the Titans fell in heartbreaking fashion.

Giants

The defending champs might have been better off playing on the road this postseason as they did last postseason.
The Giants fell in the divisional playoffs to Philadelphia. It was
their second home loss to the Eagles this season.

Steelers

13-4†

Willie Parker had a huge day against the Chargers, and the Steelers’ rushing defense was
impenetrable as Pittsburgh earned yet another trip to the AFC Championship game,
this time as host to the Ravens.

They say it’s better to be lucky than good. The Ravens are plenty good. But they
were also very lucky to have won their divisional playoff game at Tennessee, as
they were dramatically out-yarded by the Titans. If you factor out Baltimore’s
two big pass plays, they hardly had any yards at all… None the less, the Ravens
will take their strong defense to Pittsburgh for the AFC Championship game.

Cardinals
|
11-7†
|
The Cardinal defense picked off Delhomme 5 times and Larry Fitzgerald put on a show
as the Cardinals went into Carolina and crushed the Panthers in the divisional playoffs.
Arizona will host the Eagles in the NFC Championship game where they hope to get a little
revenge for being routed at Philly Thanksgiving night.

Panthers
|
12-5†

The bye week clearly did the Panthers more harm than good as Arizona came to town
and stole the show from the Panthers in the divisional playoffs
no thanks to Delhomme’s endless supply of turnovers.

San Diego couldn’t get their rushing game going with Sproles at Pittsburgh in the divisional
playoffs. Nor could they get their run defense into gear… Not a good recipe for winning
playoffs games, especially on the road in Pittsburgh.
