2006 NFL Projection:
One of the toughest schedules in the NFC drawing games
in a row at Carolina, versus Washington, at Dallas, at Pittsburgh,
versus Atlanta, and at Chicago. Other tough games include at NY
Giants, versus Cincinnati, at Atlanta, versus Carolina, and versus
Seattle. Eleven difficult games could prove to be too much, even
for this solid football team. If the Buccaneers do overcome the
2006 schedule and make the playoffs, it should be considered an
incredibly impressive season, and a sign of potentially great things to come...

Loss Projected - Typically might be
happy to split with the Falcons. But with this season's
brutal schedule might need to sweep Atlanta to qualify for the
playoffs
Loss Projected - Odds are likely to
favor the Giants in the first of two tough road games the Buccaneers
play in the NFC East in 2006. However, the Giants will be playing
on a short week and that could help open the door for a key
road win.
Loss Projected - The Panthers would probably
be happy to split. But it's the Buccaneers who may need
this Monday night football game more. Tampa won at Carolina
last season, and they may need to do it again knowing the brutal
six game stretch that begins with this matchup. The Panthers
will be coming out of their bye week and the Bucs need to take
full advantage of any rust.
Win Projected - Likely a must win game
with potential playoff implications between the two teams. Only
the second game of a brutal six game run that could be the toughest
any team faces in the 2006 season. The Buccaneers will be playing
on a short week to boot, and then face an even shorter week
heading into a Thanksgiving game at Dallas.
Loss Projected - The Buccaneers head to Texas
Stadium for a Thanksgiving afternoon football matchup. Having
to play this Thursday contest means Tampa will have played three
games in eleven days... Something the Cowboys had to do in 2005.
Not an easy task in the middle of a brutal slate of games.
Loss Projected - Will it be too cold
to win? Or could the game in Pittsburgh two weeks ago help the
team adjust to the weather? The season could hinge on this very
game and odds may not favor the Buccaneers.
Win Projected - Could be “win
and in” versus the reigning NFC champs. The Seahawks have
a long trip to get to the game, and that should help the Buccaneers'
cause.
