San Diego Chargers 2007 NFL Projection:
Norv Turner takes over a Chargers' team coming off a (14-2) season,
where the offense fired on all cylinders under first year starter Philip Rivers,
without missing a beat in taking over for Drew Brees.
LT of course had one of the greatest seasons of all time. And the defense was solid up and down.
Hopefully for Chargers' fans, the team will continue to fire on all cylinders
in the face of the coaching change. And there's no reason to suspect
otherwise, as the Chargers scored a whopping 189 more points than they surrendered in 2006.
For perspective, the Super Bowl champs,
Indianapolis Colts
only scored 67 more points than they allowed in 2006.
In 2007 the Chargers find 8 tough games on the schedule
as follows;
While this slate of games would phase most teams, the Chargers are certainly good enough to handle it.
San Diego is clearly a legitimate Super Bowl contender coming into 2007 - 2008.
Overall we're now upgrading the Chargers to a prediction of (15-1) in part due to the preseason
injury to Denver's Ebenezer Ekuban, which will make it easier to win in Denver this season, as
well as last moment preseason news that the Jaguars will be parting with Leftwich and going with Garrard,
which we believe will make it easier to beat the Jaguars.
